Hi, I’m Jess – founder of South Coast Dogs and lifelong animal lover.
My journey with animals began through volunteering at sanctuaries around the world, and later working with the RSPCA at one of their rescue centers. These experiences gave me hands-on training in dog care, behaviour, and welfare, and deepened my passion for helping animals.
While I love all creatures, dogs have always had a special place in my heart. Their loyalty and character continue to inspire my work every day.
In 2020, I adopted my rescue dog, Dora – a gentle giant who reminded me just how important training, socialisation, and enrichment are for a happy, well-balanced life. She was the inspiration behind South Coast Dogs: a service built on compassion, expertise, and a genuine love for dogs.
With formal qualifications in animal care and behaviour (see below for details), I offer enriching, safe, and supportive dog walking experiences. I’m also proud to be part of the Dorset Dogs Professional Dog Walkers Charter, promoting best practice across the county.
