About Me

Hi, I’m Jess, an animal enthusiast and the proud founder of South Coast Dogs!

My passion for animal welfare has been a driving force throughout my life. My journey began with volunteering at animal sanctuaries around the world during my travels, which eventually led me to a rewarding role within the RSPCA. There, I had the privilege of working at one of their rescue centers, caring for dogs in need. That chapter in my life is one I will always cherish, as it not only gave me countless happy memories but also provided me with invaluable experience in handling and caring for a wide range of dogs and other animals.

While I have a genuine love for all animals, dogs hold a special place in my heart. Their loyalty, energy, and unique personalities continue to inspire my work and keep me deeply committed to providing them with the best care possible.

My rescue dog, Dora, came into my life in back in 2020. Adopting her and giving her a forever home has been a truly rewarding experience—she's a gentle giant, adored by everyone she meets. As a large breed, it was crucial for Dora to be well-mannered, both on and off the lead, and socialized with other dogs. It was during this time that the idea for South Coast Dogs was born. I wanted to create a dog walking business that combined my knowledge of animal welfare, behaviour, training, and enrichment to offer high-quality services for pets.

Being fully qualified with additional education in both animal care and behaviour (see bottom of page for a full list of qualifications)

I am able offer dog walking services that are safe, fun and enriching for your beloved pooch where I can provide you my full support on your journey as a dog owner. South Coast Dogs is very proud to now be part of Dorset Dogs Professional Dog walkers charter, our mission is to promote best practice for all dog walking businesses operating throughout Dorset.
